Here are some brief steps to connect your HP Deskjet printer with a wireless network, using the Ethernet port.

1) First, reset the HP electronics -             Press and hold the "Reset" button for about 10 seconds then release it                      -             2) Connect an available network cable to the WAN port on your computer – if one is not available, you can use a wired connection or a wireless connection.                       -             4) On your computer, open the Network Settings window (you may need to search for it). It's the window with a bunch of coloured icons or words on it.       To access this window in Windows, start the Control Panel, open Network and Internet Connections, then click on the icon to show your various network connections.

5) Click on "Wireless"     6) In another window that pops up, click on "Connect to a network". Note in this example I'm using an iPhone/iPad/iPod            settings as an example - your device should be able to recognize and connect to whatever wireless network you are searching for.

7) A list of available wireless networks will appear -          Click on the one you want to connect to (like "New City Free Wi-Fi")         8) Input the security information on your device's screen (like Key 1 from a previous step). To access this screen, simply click "next" on your iPhone/iPad/iPod.               9) The next screen will say "Scanning", and then it should show "Select Your Network".

10) This is where you select the network you want, like New City Free Wi-Fi. When it's been selected, click finish and then open your web browser to see if you can access the Internet.
